Thanks for your support of our Scholastic BOGO book fair May 6-10. We got hundreds of books into students' hands, and we raised points for free books and materials for our library, yay!
Our 2024 Lone Star board game celebration was a hit. On the afternoon of May 13th, we gathered and played board games. We also gave out lots of free books, posters, and cool prizes. Then we finished with ice cream bars. Did you miss out? All it takes is reading at least 5 Lone Stars (from any of the years' lists) and having a quick discussion about them with Ms. Lamb by early May. It's just that simple! Our next celebration will be in May of 2025.
Did someone say digital books? We have SORA, an Overdrive program, for access to our district ebooks & audiobooks! Currently available for all CISD secondary school students. 6th graders will have access to elementary and middle school resources. 7th and 8th graders will have access to elementary, middle school, and high school resources. Check with your parents for permission before checking out books using Sora.

Need book suggestions? Lone Stars are always a good choice. Check out Ms. Lamb's Lone Star book trailers. Many of these titles are available in SORA in ebook and/or audiobook format as well as in the CMS library.
All books are now due to be returned to the library. Parents, we appreciate your help getting them returned before school lets out.
