Welcome to my Webpage!

Hola! My name is Julieta Herrera-Garza, and my students call me Señora Garza.

I was born and raised in Mexico. After graduating from college, I came to the United States, where I had to learn English!

This will be my 18th year as a teacher. Throughout my career, I have taught in bilingual classrooms, dual language and Spanish immersion programs, and high school and middle school Spanish classes. 

I am passionate about teaching a second language because I know firsthand what it is like to learn a second language. I enjoy helping my students learn Spanish, grow in confidence, and be successful.

I love spending time with my family, cooking, and traveling to discover new places.

I am very happy to be here at Canyon MS and to be part of this wonderful community. I look forward to getting to know my students and having a great year together!
