Introduction and Background
Introduction:
Hello, my name is Cooper Phelan and I am a 7th grade Texas History teacher and football coach here at Canyon Middle School. I am very excited to be teaching and coaching your children this year, and cannot wait for what the year has in store. My ultimate goal is to help the development of your children by promoting values that will help them become better learners, better athletes, and ultimately better people. We will be teaching them skills both in the classroom and on the field to better prepare them for what is to come, both academically and athletically. Whether it is university, trade school, the work force, the armed forces, or collegiate athletics, my goal is to get them on track and provide a foundation of knowledge they can rely on to help them reach their goals.
Background Information:
I graduated from Liberty Hill High School and Texas State University. I have experience as both a P.E. Coach and a history teacher. I coached baseball for 5 years in Round Rock, and have coached football and track for the past 2 years here at CMS.
