Thirteen middle school students showed off their extemporaneous speaking skills Friday as they competed in the Second Annual Comal Speaks contest.

Hoffmann Lane Elementary teacher Rishanne Frech and Spring Branch Middle teacher and coach Tyler Clements were named District Teachers of the Year for the Comal Independent School District.

Sixth graders across the district are getting the opportunity to view cultural, social and geographical artifacts from 25 countries in Africa, the Middle East and South-Central Asia through a traveling exhibit parked at their campuses.

The Canyon Middle School SkillsUSA Chapter competed in the District 10 Contest at TSTC in Waco, TX on February 1, 2019. Thirteen 8th grade students registered their projects in the Woodworking occupancy and all thirteen students received 1st Place awards.
